College Network
| To use the College network, printing, and Internet resources while on campus, you need to have a Novell account. In order to qualify for a Novell account, you must have the following: |
- Valid College registration
- No fees or library fines
- Your student number
- Your birthdate in the format of YYYYMMDD
|
|
Your Novell Username and Password
Your username is s + your student number (sNNNNNNNNN). The 's' is not case sensitive.
Your password is the one you created when setting up your Novell Account (or what you most recently changed it to).
The first time you access the Novell network, you'll use your birthdate as the initial password in the format of YYYYMMDD. During the Novell Account creation you will be prompted to set a password (which should not be your birthdate).
Note: if you get a prompt to change your password do not put off changing or you'll have to reset it.
Important Notes
- Your Novell username is your student number preceded by the letter 's', e.g., S222222222. The 's' is not case sensitive.
- Your new password applies ONLY to your network account. It does NOT change or affect your PIN.
Logging into the Novell Network
To log into the Novell network, do the following:
- Type s + your nine-digit student number (sNNNNNNNNN) into the Username field. The 's' is not case sensitive.
- Type the password you created into the Password field.
- Click OK.
Note: You will need to change your password once a semester. A pop-up window will appear when you have to do this. You cannot reuse old passwords.
Internet Access
You need your Novell username and password to access the Internet. When you're on the Internet, you will be required to re-enter your Novell password from time to time.
