In order to take the citizenship test, you need to have a general knowledge of Canadian history, geography, economics and politics. A good way to prepare for the test is to read through the online publication,
A Look at Canada, produced by the
Department of Citizenship and Immigration Canada .
If you want a printed copy, you can either contact the Department of Citizenship and Immigration to request one, or download the online version in .pdf format. If you don't have Adobe Acrobat Reader on your computer you can download it from their web site.
Government Information
The citizenship test may ask you to identify the Federal Member of Parliament (MP) and Provincial Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA) form the political riding, or area, where you live.
