Douglas College Foundation 13th Annual Awards Tea - March 24, 2010
Gary Tennant, Acting Dean, Child, Family & Community Studies (CFCS), congratulates Charlene Daley, 2010 Recipient of the Ellen Edwards Career Development Practitioner (CDP) Student Award
On March 24, 2010, Charlene Daley, Career Development Practitioner student was honoured as the 2010 recipient of the Ellen Edwards CDP Student Award. Ellen Edwards, one of the original co-developers of the Career Development Practitioner Program presented Charlene a cheque at the 13th Annual Tea and Awards ceremony. Upon Ellen's retirement from NETWERCC (now BC Career Development Association) in 2005, Dr. Cheryl Jeffs, Continuing Education faculty, established this annual Award to recognize Ellen's contribution to the program and her ongoing commitment to Douglas College students. Students enrolled in the Career Development Practitioner program are eligible to apply for the Award.
This was a special ceremony with a welcome from our new College President, Scott McAlpine, and his announcement of the start of the Douglas College 40th Anniversary celebrations.
A message from Charlene Daley:
